Made in New Zealand

Toki

The toki or adze shape signifies strength, determination and courage.  The toki was a tool used by Māori in everyday life to shape wood, it was also used by Māori warriors as a weapon.

Special tokis called 'toki poutangata', which means "the adze that establishes the standing of a person", were never used as tools, they were symbols of authority among the highest ranking Māori chiefs.

Paua Shell

New Zealand Paua shell is the best coloured abalone shell in the world. Every shell is unique, the ocean waves create their individual markings. Paua shell symbolises purity and wealth. All our paua shells are sustainably hand-harvested, this natural-coloured shell is polished to show its true iridescence.
